I make music.

Gabriel Luce is a New York City-born composer and pianist.  His training as a composer began at age 11 under contemporary composer Merrill Clark.  Gabriel later attended Binghamton University, where he graduated with honors, obtaining a degree in music composition and piano performance under the tutelage of Dr. Paul Goldstaub and Dr. Wendy Lee.

In 2009, he joined the music faculty at The Beacon School, a specialized public high school which offers an inquiry-based college-preparatory program with technology and arts infused throughout the curriculum.  At Beacon he has taught composition, songwriting, theory, and audio recording technology, in addition to leading two ensembles.

Gabriel is also a faculty composer at the Lucy Moses Summer Musical Theater Workshop.  SMTW is a place where kids participate in a 5-week workshop, which culminates in a full-scale production at Merkin Concert Hall.

Against Nature is Gabriel's first formal artistic collaboration with his long-time friend Steven Melendez.  For this piece, they approached the choreography, and the composition of the music, as a joint collaborative process.  Their second collaboration, Of Brewton House was commissioned by New York Theater Ballet and will premiere in Tarboro, NC at the end of April 2016.
